How to Overthrow a Capitalist Government (in WoW)

Orgrimmar: A wasteland of greed, selfishness, and stupidity due to the throne worshipped by every horde member, the auction house. One used to be able to farm Essence of Water and Essence of Air and make enough gold to afford enchants and repairs. Not anymore, Essences are farmed by gold companies and sold incredibly cheap – 4 to 5 gold a pop. And it’s more than just essences, it’s every other popular item on the Auction House. Farming has become so specialized and time consuming players are nearly forced to buy gold – and the moment they get gold, they give it right back to the gold companies because they buy farmed items in the Auction House.

These are the effects that the bourgeois, i.e. the twinks, gold-buyers, and snobby raid-guildies, force onto the rest of us.


That’s how it was anyway, until someone decided to take action.



THE SETUP
Getting enough people to perform a summon behind the auction house takes time, especially since the old method was nerfed. Failing the Test of Lore takes time as well (google “mark of shame”. If that doesn’t work try an image search for “hpv”). When all was ready, I began to proselytize.

Oh no, they sent in Elites! What will we do?
Level 60 elites kept spawning. The establishment attempted to stop the revolution by healing the elites, but Kaliko shredded through them. That rank 14 sword is good for something, and was earned without the help of the auction house.

I mean, lets take a long hard look at this. So we are offered the option to go to war with any faction we see fit. But when we exercise that option to our own amusement we get suspended. Now of course the first arguement made is "well it affects others"...its an MMORPG, everything you ever do affects others, thats the point of the friggin game!!! So thank you blizzard for reassuring me that you really want an overly elaborate chat room where we pick what armor our characters wear then basically watch a friggin movie that goes the same for every player!

Blizz u suck, Blart own them harder next time, if i had it my way you could blow up the zep's.

Oh idea...is there anyway to go to war with your own flight master? That could be entertaining routing people from org ftw. Maybe complain about high flight prices w/ no in flight movies and stale peanuts.

You can't go to war with your own faction (anymore) BUT, you can just get a few people togeter and obscure the flightmaster :3 just get some bearforms/moonkin some mounted people and some normal to all stand on the flightmaster, this way you can NOT click him and that'll get you a good bucket of nerdrage and a dozen reports.

This actually happened to me in IF once, LOL'ed at all the rage in general chat, but since I was heading out to MC, I just took the metro to SW and flew from there, but damn, since people can't fly, they all get 'stuck' on the flightmaster too, making it even more impossible to click him.

It was even better when shrink or grow effects would stack... I had gotten the alchemist created giant potion, winterfall firewater and the grow effect from the witch doctor in the troll village. My Kodo was as large as the Org gate, wish I still had screenshots from that =(

I wish you could just use a double shrink constantly. Always amused me in EQ to be this tiny ass little barb warrior. Typically with DMF on too for floating l33tness.

EQ GMs had something where they could shrink even smaller than that. I had one do it to me on Sullon when it was in testing/beta and my Eru cleric was like the size of an Ogre's toe. It was mad l33t. And since you could attack GMs on sullon beta there was this really amusing time when one of my ogre buddies was attacking this GM who was a gnome shrunk to about the size of his toe. Damned funny looking.
